Rainbow Garden

     Think rainbow:

I

For this card I used: Gina K's "Friends 'Til the End". The sentiment is from "Genevieve Giraffe". I also used Lawn Fawn's "Stitched Hillside Borders".
I thought I would share the rainbow Copics I used. I liked this combo and wanted to put it here as a reminder to myself in case I ever want a good set of rainbow colors.

Up and Away Pop Up

Here is a combination shape/pop up card.  All of the stamping is done with Theresa Momber's "Up, Up, and Away!" stamp set.

The shape of the card was made using a Silhouette file. The embossed finish of this card stock is enhanced by sanding it to bring out the color under the surface.
I used Karen Burniston's pop up mechanism and hot air balloon die cuts. The map paper on the inside is from Carta Bella's "Old World Traveler" collection. The perfect birthday card for a masculine friend.

This card is made with Gina K products - entirely. The stamp sets are: "Sending Love" and Hello Sunshine". The paper is from the "Made with Love" collection.

The sandals are colored with Copics: YR15 and BG45.

Gorguss Graduation

This is what you get when you are traveling with limited crafting supplies. I did have my Copics with me. I had purchased the Gorjuss stamp set called "Hush Little Bunny" and a Graphic 45 Mother Goose paper pad from a clearance rack. Then I realized that a needed a high school graduation card for my husband's niece. I put this together at my in-laws house. I researched to find a quote and used the printer to add it to the card. She actually loved it!!!

John Lennon  I used this Lennon quote:

“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”

Nerdy Owl

The bigger the glasses the nerdier this owl looks. For this card I made a 3 x 6 3/4" card with a money pocket that is 1 1/2 deep. To make the card base and to see more examples check out Karen Hightower's directions on Stamp TV.
For this card I started with a tag collage using Karen Burniston's "Tags Pivot Card" die set. Since some of the tags had a lot of white on them, I distressed the edges of each with the color of the pattern. The sentiment is from Gina K's "Elegant Florals 2". I stamped, fussy cut, and pop dotted this owl from Gina K's "Friends Til The End". I stamped him on the envelope as well. He is sporting Karen Burniston's glasses from "Props 1".
Inside of Card
For the inside of the card, I added a strip of pattern paper flush with the top of the pocket. This owl is "Poppy the Owl" -- another Karen Burniston die. The hearts you see here and there come from this die set.
     To complete: Just add money!!!

Hello Wildflowers

This card is the result of a "picture inspired" challenge. I was not looking forward to this. I've never done one before. When I finally sat down to work on it, it just seemed so easy. Here is the picture:

u

As you can see there is plenty going on here - so many elements to choose from

I started by lightly distressing the entire surface with Shabby Shutters. I randomly stamped various florals and leaves. The "hello" and typewriter are from my stash. I painted the sentiment with Americana Bahama Blue paint and used Peeled Paint Distress Stain on the typewriter. I added mossy green twine and blue organza ribbon to the typewriter. The ribbons are direct opposites - shabby and chic (mossy burlap and ecru lace).
The die cuts are Our Daily Bread Double Stitched Circles which are pop dotted to the card.

SPEC - tacular Birthday

Here is a card with a bit of trash. I used a toilet paper roll to construct an eyeglass case. I first used a brayer to flatten the roll, then painted 3 coats of white Gesso as a primer. I don't know the name of the paper, because it is (was) a scrap. The bottom is closed using a strip of score tape.

The spectacles are made using a Silhouette cut file -- "Glasses New Years" by Daniela Moscone. The 2016 is removed but I thought the stars were a nice touch, so I left them. The designer paper on the glasses is "Coral Mica" by Paper Studio. I bought this ages ago (don't remember why) and finally found a use for it.
The background is Shabby Polka Dot Background using embossing folder and Hickory Smoke distress ink.
I die cut the letters from a Elizabeth Craft die (Alphabet 1 Caps) and stamped the sentiment on the inside using Gina K's "Massive Messages".
